(Highly Abridged) School Rules.

Attendance Policy.
Students are expected to attend classes from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. barring any injury, sickness, or family emergency. Permissible absences require a note from the school nurse or doctor. Missing class is punishable by detention for up to the first two absences, after which the student will be put into a probationary status. Teachers are required to keep thorough attendance records and report any issues to the dean.

Uniforms.
All students are required to dress themselves properly for class and meals. Uniforms consist of black slacks, white button-down shirts, gray sweatervests (optional), a tie of their class year's color, a black blazer embroidered with the school crest, and black oxford shoes. Students may replace their blazer with a gray sweater embroidered with the school crest.

For indoor gym classes, students are expected to wear gray or black sweatpants or shorts and a white short- or longsleeved shirt. Outdoor gym classes allow an unadorned, solid colored sweatshirt to go along with the indoor gym uniform.

Class Conduct.
North Feldman students are required to act in a manner that is respectful to both their teachers and peers. Teachers are expected to judge conduct and handle punishments, but consistent disregard for work and lack of respect should be reported to the dean.

Use of Electronics.
Use of cell phones, mp3 players, laptop computers or personal secretaries are not permitted while a student is in class. Inappropriate use of such equipment is grounds for detention and withholding of the item in question. All confiscated materials are to be brought to the dean and are to be picked up by the student after 24 hours.

Dorm Conduct.
All students are expected to maintain their living space thoroughly. Food and other perishable items are not permitted, nor are hot plates, sandwich makers, candles, lighters, or other items that produce an open flame. Beds are to be stripped and sheets washed once a week, dependent on the dorm floor's laundry schedule. Common living spaces are to be treated respectfully, and all unattended personal items left out may be discarded without warning. Common room furniture should not be moved from the common room under any circumstance, and broken or damaged furniture should be reported to dorm floor monitors at once.

Dorms may be searched by school officials at any time, without warning.

Dorm Hours.
On Monday through Thursday, students are expected to be in their dorm room from 11 p.m. until 6 a.m., when the exterior doors are closed and locked. Silent study hours during these days are 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Students are expected to be in their dorm rooms on Fridays until 6 a.m. With a parental consent form, students may spend their free hours from Friday evening until Sunday evening off campus.

On weekends, the exterior doors to the dorms close and lock at 1 a.m. until 6 a.m.

Any student wishing to enter the dorms after curfew must sign in at the front desk.

Personal Items.
Students are allowed one laptop, desktop or netbook to be used outside of class. Dorms are equipped with wireless internet, turned off from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. daily. Students are also allowed a personal cellphone, but a landline is available on each dorm floor for those who do not have one. No holes or other damage may be done to the walls, but personal photos may be attached with tape.

Guests.
Students are not permitted to have non-familial guests in their dorms at any time. Students are allowed to visit one another in their dorms until silent study hours begin. Any student found sneaking into or out of another students dorm after silent study hours begin will be punished at the discretion of the adult in charge of that dorm floor.
